This movie is about a man named Jack, who runs a successful butchery in a small town. Despite his friendly demeanor, there is something deeply unsettling about Jack that only a few people are able to sense. Strange things start happening in the town, with people going missing and gruesome body parts being discovered. A local detective begins to investigate and soon discovers that Jack is behind the disappearances.
Jack is revealed to be a cannibal, using the meat from his victims to eat and sell at his butcher shop all while feeding his twisted desires. As the detective closes in on Jack, the towns-people become aware of the horror happening in their midst, and they must band together to stop Jack before he claims any more victims. However, Jack is cunning and proves to be a formidable opponent, as he uses his butchery skills to keep the detective and townspeople at bay.
Benchmarking
I was very heavily inspired by South Park's paper-cutout, rigid animation style, along with Saul Bass. The simplicity of the style allows the visuals to juxtapose the dark and sinister nature of the film.
